UUID Generator
Generate cryptographically random UUID v4 values locally.
About the UUID Generator
The UUID Generator creates version 4 UUIDs: 128-bit identifiers written as 36 characters, such as 3f2b8c1e-9d4a-4e7b-8f2c-1a6d5e9b0c47. They are generated from cryptographically secure randomness, so duplicates are practically impossible.
Generate between 1 and 100 at a time. Everything runs in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you type is uploaded to our server, so it is safe to use with private data.
How to use it
- Enter how many UUIDs you need (1–100).
- Select Generate UUIDs.
- Copy the list, one UUID per line.
Common uses
- Creating primary keys and record IDs.
- Filling test fixtures and sample data.
- Naming files or resources that must not collide.
Tips
- UUIDs are unique, not secret; do not use them as passwords or access tokens.
- Version 4 UUIDs are random, so they do not sort by creation time.
