About the Currency Converter

The Currency Converter converts an amount between world currencies using daily reference exchange rates. Rates are fetched by your browser from a public exchange-rate service, with a second service as a fallback.

Reference rates are mid-market rates; banks and card providers add their own margin, so the amount you actually pay or receive will differ. Your amount is not sent to our server.

How to use it

1. Enter the amount.
2. Choose the currency to convert from and to.
3. Select Convert, or Swap currencies to reverse them.

Common uses

• Checking prices while shopping online or travelling.
• Estimating the value of an invoice in another currency.
• Comparing costs across countries.

Tips

• Rates update once per business day, not in real time.
• For large transfers, compare the rate your provider offers with the reference rate.
