List Sorter and Deduplicator
Sort, deduplicate, reverse, or shuffle newline-separated lists.
About the List Sorter and Deduplicator
The List Sorter and Deduplicator works on lists with one item per line. Sort orders them alphabetically with numbers in natural order (2 before 10), Deduplicate removes repeated lines, Reverse flips the order, and Shuffle puts the items in random order.
Everything runs in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you type is uploaded to our server, so it is safe to use with private data.
How to use it
- Paste your list, one item per line.
- Choose Sort, Deduplicate, Reverse or Shuffle.
- Copy the result; you can apply several steps in turn.
Common uses
- Cleaning up an exported list of emails, names or IDs.
- Removing duplicate keywords.
- Drawing a random order for a raffle or a presentation schedule.
Tips
- Deduplicate only removes exact matches, so "Apple" and "apple" are both kept.
- Sort first, then Deduplicate, to review the remaining items in order.
